People, Politics, and Purpose: Biography and the Structure(s) of Canada Since 1939

  • 6 Hoskin Avenue Toronto, ON, M5S 3K7 Canada (map)

This one-day symposium honours the long and distinguished career of Professor John English, whose scholarly, political, and administrative work has shaped the study of history, biography, and international affairs in Canada. Long-time collaborators and former students of Professor English will speak about their current research, focussing on themes of biography, diplomacy, and politics, subjects that animated so much of his work and conversation.

The symposium is open to anyone with a deep interest in Canada's past, but as seating is limited, attendees must register in advance.
